Can Labcorp’s AI-Powered Test Finder Redefine Diagnostic Efficiency for 750+ Health Systems Nationwide?

Key Highlights

  • Labcorp expands its generative AI tool, Test Finder, directly into EHR workflows via Labcorp Diagnostic Assistant™ and Labcorp Link™.
  • More than 750 health systems already leveraging Diagnostic Assistant gain real-time, AI-driven test identification and clinical decision support.
  • Built on Amazon Bedrock LLMs, Test Finder enables faster diagnoses, streamlined workflows, and improved provider and patient experiences.

Expansion Into Clinical Workflows
Labcorp (NYSE: LH) announced the integration of its AI-driven Test Finder into Labcorp Diagnostic Assistant™ and Labcorp Link™, embedding the tool within electronic health record systems such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, and NextGen. Providers can now use natural language prompts to research and identify relevant lab tests directly within their workflows, eliminating manual code searches and multi-platform toggling.

Driving Scale Across U.S. Health Systems
More than 750 health systems and physician groups have already implemented Labcorp Diagnostic Assistant nationwide, a solution recognized with the 2025 Modern Healthcare Innovators Award. With Test Finder added, these organizations gain a generative AI tool that curates lab test recommendations alongside a patient’s history, trends, and data—helping accelerate diagnostic decisions in real time.

Empowering Clinicians and Patients
According to Labcorp’s Chief Medical and Scientific Officer, Dr. Brian Caveney, embedding Test Finder into clinician workflows streamlines the process of selecting tests from complex menus. This advancement reduces administrative friction, accelerates diagnoses, and enhances patient outcomes by enabling faster, more accurate decisions during consultations.

Technology and Responsible AI
Test Finder is powered by Amazon Bedrock and large language model technology, ensuring enterprise-level safety and reliability. The tool is available 24/7 within both EHRs and Labcorp Link™, which supports nearly 500,000 lab orders each month. With expanded access, providers can now benefit from an AI-enabled ecosystem that spans ordering, specimen logistics, real-time billing, and results access—positioning Labcorp as a leader in responsible adoption of generative AI for diagnostics.
